NCSA Board Meeting Minutes, 10/10/08

Present:  Karen Moorman, Lisa Randolph. Absent, Betsy Hughes

Treasurer’s Report waived.

Minutes waived.

Nominations:  Joanne Bath served as nominations chairperson. We need a Treasurer for the upcoming ballot, Karen will ask Morgen Champney for suggestions for teachers in the Charlotte area. Morgen will be nominated for President, Katie Lawton for Secretary, and Joe Pecararo will be an At Large Board member.

ETA:  Deborah Chandler has accepted the nomination for Treasurer.

2009 Play In:  Eve Hubbard and Susan Gallimore will host in Greensboro.  NC Suzuki Association will provide publicity in the newsletter and in the annual mailing.

Annual Mailing:  will contain membership renewal information, will announce nominations, provide information on play in. A mailing will be scheduled for end of 2008 calendar year.

Two-Year Plan:  Karen will work on this with the incoming Board after elections, spring 2009.

NB: Morgen Champney hopes to visit in Durham over Holiday break and get together with Karen about 2 yr. plan

Graduation Committee:  No news.  This project will be tabled for next Board.

NB: Ben Hutchens (Durham) is willing to serve as chairman.
